Fifteen minutes before your massage, you will meet with your massage therapist and discuss your purpose for the appointment. From your explanation a massage plan will be set up to assist you in your recovery or relaxation goals. After the initial meeting the therapist will exit the room. You would take that time to get undressed to your comfort level, and lay on the table under the sheets.
During the massage you will be asked about your comfort level (pressure, lighting, table heat, music volume…). This is a time for you to relax and enjoy your service. If the massage therapist needs to re-position you he or she will move you or ask for your assistance.
After your massage, please be careful when you get off the table. Some clients experience deep relaxation and feel dizzy when getting up too fast. Take your time and gain your balance. Get dressed and come to the front desk. You may not feel a dramatic change right away but pay attention to your body in the following days. You will notice changes such as, pain relief, increased mobility, and reduced stress. Please drink plenty of fluids preferably water to flush out toxins in your body released during your massage.
